Phelps Kelley
Founder and Re-recording Mixer, PNK Audio LLC

Collecting records from an early age—a passion that continued through college—Phelps Kelley has amassed a vinyl collection of over 600 LPs. This deep appreciation for music and sound laid the foundation for a lifelong career in audio. He began in radio as a DJ, where he discovered a love for editing and mixing radio advertising. Seeking to expand his technical skills, Phelps studied Pro Tools and music recording at the Sheffield Institute, earning a Certificate of Audio Engineer with a 4.0 GPA. He started his post-production journey as an audio assistant at Henninger Media Services in Washington, D.C., during the 2002 political cycle, and spent seven years there honing his skills in broadcast post-production. Phelps then transitioned into freelance work, building a successful independent business with clients including Discovery and National Geographic. He later became the Audio Supervisor at Sirens Media, designing and building two 5.1/stereo audio suites at their Silver Spring facility. He managed the audio department while also mixing shows for Investigation Discovery, Bravo, HGTV, and History Channel. Following Sirens’ acquisition by ITV America, he worked for eight years as a re-recording mixer, contributing to series for Oxygen True Crime, A&E, WE TV, and Magnolia Network—as well as designing and building one 5.1/stereo audio suite at ITV’s New York City location. In 2025, Phelps launched PNK Audio LLC, bringing over 20 years of creative and technical experience to every project.
